SM-F761B or SM-F761U: how to check that you have a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
All Z Flip 7 FE variants share the SM-F761 root model number. In Europe, it is sold as the SM-F761B or SM-F761B/DS, while in the United States there is the carrier-associated SM-F761U and the unlocked SM-F761U1. To check on the phone itself, go to Settings > About phone and look up the model number.
The most common mix-up is with its two siblings. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 (SM-F741B) looks the same, has identical dimensions (165,1 x 71,9 x 6,9 mm when open) and weighs the same 187 g, but features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead of the FE’s Exynos 2400. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 (SM-F766B) is wider at 75,2 mm, and its 4,1-inch cover screen is much larger than the FE’s 3,4-inch screen.
Another useful clue: the FE has only been sold in black and white. If your Flip is another colour, it isn’t a Z Flip 7 FE.

Three camera modules sold separately
The FE has three cameras, each with its own replacement part, so you only need to replace the one that has failed. The original 50 MP rear main camera is the f/1.8 wide-angle sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), used for most everyday photos.
The 12 MP rear ultra-wide camera provides a 123° field of view, while the 10 MP front camera for Z Flip7 FE F761 is located in the hole in the inner screen. All three are Original quality, preserving the factory resolution and optics.
If only the rear camera glass is broken
Often, the impact only damages the glass that protects the lenses. In that case, the original rear camera lens and frame is all you need; it replaces the outer protection without touching the sensors. It’s the most affordable option when photos look fine but the glass is cracked. If the image is also affected, order the relevant module as well.
The fingerprint reader is in the side key, not under the screen
The Z Flip 7 FE has a capacitive reader integrated into the side button on the right-hand side, next to the volume control. So if the fingerprint reader stops working, the part to check is the original F761 fingerprint sensor flex cable, not the screen. After fitting it, check fingerprint registration and make sure the button still turns the phone on.

What the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE shares with the Z Flip 6 and what it doesn’t
Reviews agree that from the outside, the FE is a Z Flip 6 with a different processor: the same body, cameras with identical resolutions (50 and 12 MP on the rear, 10 MP on the front) and the same 3,4-inch cover screen. This similarity may tempt you to mix and match parts, but the mainboard is different, and matching specifications don’t guarantee that the connectors and brackets are the same. Unless the product description says it fits both, as with the flash flex cable, choose the part listed for the F761.
As for pairing, we haven’t found any official Samsung documentation stating that cameras or fingerprint readers are locked by serial number. Samsung does note in its self-repair programme that some parts may need calibration after replacement. So, before closing the phone, it’s worth checking focus, stabilisation, switching between cameras and fingerprint unlocking.
The FE also leaves the factory with an IP48 rating. Opening the phone affects the seals and adhesives, so don’t assume this protection will remain after repair.

Will parts for the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 fit?
No. The Z Flip 7 (SM-F766B) has different dimensions, a 4,1-inch cover screen and an Exynos 2500 processor. Although its cameras have the same resolution, it is not the FE model.
My phone is a US SM-F761U1. Will parts in this category fit?

Do I need to replace the camera if only the glass is broken?
Not necessarily. If photos look sharp with the glass clean, the sensor is usually fine, and replacing the rear camera lens and frame is enough. If the image still has problems afterwards, the module is faulty.
