How to replace the Samsung Flip 3 screen without any nasty surprises

Here is the repair process recommended by our technical team, along with the mistakes we see most often in the workshop:

1. Back up your data while the outer screen is still working.
2. Heat and remove the glass back cover. The battery is the first component to disconnect.
3. The flex cables run through the hinge. Do not pull them tight and never bend them more than 90°: this is the most common cause of screens going black or showing lines after a repair.
4. Test the panel before fitting it: connect it, switch the phone on and check the touchscreen across the entire surface, especially around the crease.
5. Fit the panel with the phone fully open, and do not force the crease while the adhesive sets.
