Are there original screens for the iPhone 13?

Publicado por Pablo

If you have an iPhone and it belongs to the 13 series, it's important to know that there is a replacement part that, even if you replace it, will not work the same way again. We are referring to the phone's original screen. Therefore, we will explain what it is so you can take care of the original screen as much as possible.

Characteristics of the original screen

The iPhone 13 is one of the latest phone models from Apple, and although it is not very different from the iPhone 12, it has had some changes that have disappointed the audience who buy phones from this brand. We are referring to the phone's screen.

It is identical to the model 12's screen, it measures 6.1 inches, and it features a super retina XDR, which is an improved OLED. Its resolution is 1170 x 2532, and it has 460 pixels in a square inch. But the problem with this screen is not these characteristics.

Just as Apple has done with other models in this line, when you make any changes to the phone, you lose an original function. If you damage your screen for any reason and replace it at a non-authorized technical service, the phone will stop activating the FaceID system.

This is because the screen comes with a kind of integrated system that works alongside facial recognition. For this reason, if you replace the screen with an original iPhone 13 screen, the FaceID will not work. The only alternative you have is to take the phone to an authorized technical service.

If you encounter any issue with your screen, the best alternative is to go to an authorized technical service immediately. Normally, if you take it to another repair center first and then go to an authorized one, it is possible that you will not receive the warranty option or that they won't accept the device because it has already been repaired elsewhere.

If you do not yet have the phone and are considering buying it, we recommend that you do not do so unless you have the means to carry out authorized repairs. Otherwise, you will have to get used to not using FaceID.

What types of iPhone 13 screens are there?

If you already have an iPhone 13 and damaged the screen for any reason, but you cannot go to an authorized technical service, you will have to install a iPhone 13 Screen. The good thing about this is that there are several types of screens that you can get and at least use the phone without FaceID.

OLED-type screen

This type of screen is the closest to the original thanks to its individual pixel illumination system. This helps the colors appear more vivid, allowing you to enjoy what is displayed more. Additionally, it is not thick at all, which helps keep the phone as if it had the factory screen. Moreover, the price of this screen is not as high compared to the original ones. There is also the iPhone 13 Pro screen

TFT-type screen

The design of this replacement screen is almost identical to LCS screens. It works through a two-layered glass that contains a certain liquid. It is composed of several layers, and at the back, it has a white light plate, which reflects the colors in this way. The price of these screens is very low because the color quality is not the best, but it will surely be useful for you.

Incell-type screen

Finally, we have this last type of screen, which is most characterized by its price due to its low quality. The good thing is that it is very thin, so there will be no problem with it fitting flush with the casing. The response time of the Incell screens is also lower than the previous models, but it is not an issue for the phone's functionality.
