💡 Exclusive feature: This screen allows the transplant of the IC chip from your original screen, something not all compatible screens on the market support. If performed by an experienced technician, your iPhone 13 will recognize the screen as original, and you will never see any warning message in Settings or on lock. More details below.
🎁 FREE tool kit included: Pentalobe P2 screwdriver (bottom screws), Phillips screwdriver, opening picks, suction cup, and tweezers. All you need to open the iPhone 13 without buying anything else.

🔎 Why is this LCD screen a good technical choice?

Not all compatible screens on the market are the same. Many product specifications don't tell you, but the differences between a cheap screen and a well-made screen are enormous. These are the technical points where this screen stands out:

  • IPS LCD technology with full lamination: The glass, touch, and panel are optically bonded (OCA), without air between layers. This reduces reflections, improves contrast, and avoids the classic "floating screen" effect of low-end replacements.
  • Real brightness of ~500 nits: Enough for outdoor use on sunny days. It doesn't match Apple's original OLED ~800 nits, but it gets much closer than economical LCDs of 300-350 nits.
  • Color coverage ~90% sRGB: Faithful reproduction of photos, videos, and iOS interface colors. Poor replacements usually stay at 65-75%, giving that "dull" image feel.
  • High touch sampling rate: Immediate response to touch, without the noticeable lag of low-quality digitizers, especially evident when typing quickly or playing games.
  • IC chip with updated firmware: Compatible with the latest versions of iOS 17 and iOS 18 without causing the dreaded "non-original screen" loop warning or lockouts when updating.
  • Reinforced frame with pre-applied adhesive: The frame comes with glue on the edges and reinforced corners, where most breakages occur from falls.
  • Individual QC tests: Each unit is tested before packaging (dead pixels, backlight uniformity, touch response on all four edges and center zone).

🚀 Advantages over other compatible screens

🔍 Technical feature ⭐ What it means for you
Full lamination (OCA) Clearer image, fewer reflections, and greater impact resistance
High-sensitivity digitizer Smooth typing, precise gestures, and immediate response in games
Pre-assembled module 3x faster installation: no need to transfer frame or adhesives
1:1 electrical compatibility Perfect fit, no need to force flex or use adapters
Optimized consumption Doesn't compromise battery life by more than 5-8%
Price vs. official repair center Over 70% savings with very close performance

🔄 Before vs. After changing the screen

Damaged screen New screen
❌ Cracks, chips, and raised glass✔ Smooth and even surface
❌ Intermittent touch failures✔ Precise response across the entire surface
❌ Expansive black spots (dead LCD)✔ Clean image without damaged areas
❌ Vertical or horizontal color lines✔ Stable video signal
❌ Screen doesn't turn on, but phone vibrates✔ Fully functional device

🔧 When do you need to replace your iPhone 13 screen?

  • 📉 Visible breaks: Cracks that, besides appearance, can cut your finger and end up damaging the digitizer due to moisture infiltration.
  • 📉 Dead touch zones: Sign the digitizer has lost contact with the controller, typical after a drop even if the glass seems intact.
  • 📉 Black or purple spots: Indicates liquid crystal has spilled inside the panel. They grow over time and there's no turning back: the screen must be replaced.
  • 📉 Color lines: Often indicate a damaged IC chip or a pinched flex.
  • 📉 Ghost touch: The phone taps on its own. It's annoying and can open apps, delete data or make unwanted calls.

🧑‍🔧 Change it yourself or take it to a service?

  • 👨‍🔧 Unofficial repair service: 45€ to 70€ for labor, apart from the replacement.
  • 🍎 Official Apple: Over 300€ for repair.
  • 🛠️ DIY with this screen: Only the price of the replacement, with kit included. Medium difficulty (2/5). With an iFixit guide and patience, you’ll have it in 45-60 minutes.

💰 Unbeatable price compared to official repair

Get your complete iPhone 13 LCD screen for only 21.99€ (VAT included). An official Apple repair can exceed 329€. You're saving more than 70% without sacrificing a virtually identical user experience.

🔌 IC Chip Transplant: Goodbye "non-original screen" message

This is one of the major technical advantages of our iPhone 13 screen, and something worth understanding well before deciding how to install it.

What is the IC and why does it matter?

Since iOS 15.2, Apple links the screen to the iPhone's logic chip through an authentication IC chip soldered to the flex of the panel itself. When you change the screen for a compatible one, iOS detects the IC serial number doesn't match the factory paired one and displays the familiar "Unable to verify this screen is an Apple genuine part" warning in Settings > General > About.

The good news: this screen supports IC transplant

Unlike other compatible screens on the market (which have the IC soldered in an inseparable manner or with proprietary connectors), this screen is designed to allow the transfer of the original IC chip from your broken screen to the new one. The process is performed by a technician with a soldering station and involves:

  1. Desoldering the IC with hot air from the old screen.
  2. Cleaning the pads with flux and desoldering braid.
  3. Repositioning and resoldering the IC onto the new screen's flex with a microscope.

It's a micro-soldering (BGA) operation that an experienced professional performs in 15-20 minutes. After the transplant, iOS reads the IC as "original" because it is indeed the same chip from the factory screen, just mounted on a new panel.

⚠️ Important: IT IS NOT necessary to do it

We want to be completely transparent with you: The IC transplant is completely optional and does not affect the real functioning of the screen. Without doing it, your iPhone 13 will work exactly the same:

  • ✔️ The touch will respond perfectly
  • ✔️ The image will be seen with all the quality
  • ✔️ Automatic brightness will work
  • ✔️ Face ID will remain operational
  • ✔️ Autonomy won't be affected
  • ✔️ iOS will update normally

The only difference is purely cosmetic software-wise: in Settings > General > About, a line will show indicating the screen is not original, and during the first 4 days, an informative notification may appear on the lock screen, which then disappears forever. Nothing more. No reduced performance, no constant pop-up alerts, no system blocks.

When is the transplant worth it?

User profile Is transplant recommended?
Personal use, want to save as much as possible ❌ No need. The screen works just as well without it.
Want to resell the iPhone later ✔️ Yes. An iPhone without any warning in Settings sells higher and faster.
Professional repair shop serving end customers ✔️ Yes. Avoids complaints from customers unaware that the warning is normal.
Perfectionist user bothered by the message ✔️ Yes. For a few extra euros, you get an experience identical to an original screen.
Urgent repair, without a soldering station ❌ Not viable without proper equipment. Install without transplant and ready.

In summary, this screen gives you the freedom to choose. You can install it as is and enjoy a perfectly functional phone, or take a step further and make it indistinguishable from an original one by iOS standards. Other compatible screens don't even offer you that second option.

🛡️ Tips to protect your new screen (and why they work)

  • ✔️ Use a 0.3-0.5 mm tempered glass protector: Tempered glass absorbs impact energy by breaking itself rather than transmitting it to the digitizer. It is a sacrificial layer. Below 0.3 mm, it barely protects; above 0.5 mm, it may interfere with cases and touch sensitivity.
  • ✔️ Install a raised-edge (lip) case: The edge should protrude at least 1-2 mm above the glass. So, when the phone falls face down, it's the case plastic that hits the ground, not your new screen.
  • ✔️ Avoid putting it in the pocket with keys or coins: While the glass is tough, sand or metal dust particles (hardness above 6 on the Mohs scale) can indeed scratch it and create micro-cracks that weaken the glass.
  • ✔️ Do not expose the phone to abrupt temperature changes: OCA adhesive bonding the screen layers degrades with thermal shocks, causing bubbles or delamination in the medium term.
  • ✔️ Dry the phone immediately if it gets wet: iPhone 13 retains some water resistance after a change, but the original seal is no longer perfect. Moisture is the worst enemy of the digitizer's flex.
  • ✔️ Do not press the notch or corners: These are points with the least structural margin where most breaks by chassis flexing occur.

🔍 Frequently Asked Questions about the iPhone 13 Screen

Is it an original Apple screen?

No. It is a high-quality compatible screen made with IPS LCD technology. It does not carry the Apple logo nor is it a refurbished unit from the original manufacturer, but its performance in daily use (brightness, color, tactile response) is very close to that of the original screen. The main difference is that the original iPhone 13 comes with an OLED Super Retina XDR, a more expensive technology offering true blacks and higher peak brightness (1200 nits in HDR). For 95% of users, the difference is imperceptible in normal use.

Will I lose True Tone upon changing the screen?

Yes, by default it is lost. True Tone depends on calibration data linked to the original screen chip. There are two solutions: ( A professional with a JC programmer or QianLi Clone DZ03 can transfer the data from your old screen to the new one, recovering True Tone; ( Accepting its loss, which does not affect the phone's operation at all. It also doesn't affect touch, Face ID, or autonomy.

Will the "Unknown part" warning appear in Settings?

It depends on how you install it. If you mount the screen directly (without IC transplant), iOS will detect that the screen is not original and show it in Settings > General > About. It is an informative warning from Apple since iOS 15.2, it doesn't affect the device's operation, and the lock notification disappears after a few days.

If you prefer not to see it at all, this screen supports the IC chip transplant from your original screen (a microsoldering operation performed by a technician with a hot air station). After the transplant, iOS will recognize the screen as original, and no warning will ever appear. You can see the full details in the "IC chip transplant" section above. However: it is totally optional, the screen works exactly the same with or without the transplant.

Is it better to have an LCD or OLED for iPhone 13?

It depends on your use and budget. Compatible OLED offers true blacks, higher contrast, and less consumption in dark mode, getting closer to the original but at a significantly higher price. IPS LCD like this one is more economical, more impact-resistant (OLED is more fragile), and offers excellent performance in full daylight. If your priority is saving or you want a durable spare for a daily-use phone, LCD is the most sensible option.

Does Face ID work after the change?

Yes, always. Face ID depends on the TrueDepth module (ear speaker + proximity sensors + front camera + dot projector), which is on a separate flex strip from the screen. The only thing you need to do during the change is to carefully transfer this module from your old screen to the new one. If you damage it during extraction, Face ID will stop working and cannot be repaired with home programmers.

Is it difficult to change the screen myself?

Medium difficulty (2/5 on the iFixit scale). The critical steps are: ( heating the frame to soften the adhesive before opening, ( not forcing the digitizer's flex when lifting the screen because it's connected to the board, ( transferring the earpiece speaker and sensors without breaking the meshes, and ( securely tightening the lower Pentalobe screws when closing. With a video guide and 45 minutes of patience, most users succeed on the first try.

Does the screen include a speaker, sensors, or front camera?

No. It includes only the LCD module + digitizer + frame. You will need to transfer from your old screen: the ear speaker, the proximity/light sensor module, the upper metal bracket, and the lower dust mesh. This is standard in the industry and allows keeping the replacement price low.

Is the replacement covered by a warranty?

Yes, all our replacements include a warranty against manufacturing defects. If any problem arises when testing it (dead pixels, touch failures, image lines), contact our support, and we will handle it. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, subsequent drops, or liquid contact.

Will changing the screen affect battery life?

Slightly. This LCD screen consumes slightly more than the original OLED in dark scenes (the OLED turns off black pixels, the LCD keeps the backlight on). In bright scenes, the consumption is practically identical. In practice, you may notice between 5% and 8% less autonomy, something that goes unnoticed in daily use.

At iLevante, we have been helping to extend the life of thousands of mobiles for over 20 years. With this complete LCD screen for iPhone 13, your device will perform as on the first day… without paying extra or waiting weeks. 💰📲
