Under the panel, it has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, not an optical one, which reads your finger through the screen even when it is off. Does the Poco F8 Pro rear cover include wireless charging?
No. The Poco F8 Pro does not support wireless charging, unlike the F8 Ultra, so there is no coil to transfer from one part to another when replacing the rear cover. It supports 100 W wired charging and wired reverse charging only.
Is the fingerprint reader optical or ultrasonic?
It is ultrasonic and located under the screen. After replacing the screen, delete the registered fingerprints and add them again. This lets you check the reader with the new component installed.
Will it remain water-resistant after being opened?
The IP68 rating applies from the factory, with the rear cover and screen sealed with adhesive. Once the phone has been dismantled, water resistance depends on how the new adhesive is applied and cannot be guaranteed.
