Keep in mind that the model vivo distributes in Europe as the vivo Y28 is the 4G variant: it has a larger screen, a 6000 mAh battery and 44 W charging. Its parts are not compatible with those for the Y28 5G. The Y28s 5G shares the same screen size and 5000 mAh battery as the V2315, so always check the code rather than relying on appearance alone. There was also a vivo Y28 released in 2014 with a 4.7-inch screen, which is unrelated to the current model.

Due to its screen size, this screen is not suitable for the 6.68-inch Y28 4G.
Which battery part number does it use
The Y28 5G uses a 5000 mAh battery with part number BA10, the same one used in the vivo Y17s (V2310). That’s why the Premium-quality BA10 5000 mAh battery is listed under the Y17s name and fits both models. If you already have the phone open, check the part number against the original battery. The Y28 4G has a 6000 mAh battery that is not interchangeable with this one.
What to keep in mind for this model
- The Y28 5G and Y17s have the same external dimensions (163.7 x 75.4 x 8.1 mm) and battery, but differ in processor and connectivity. The Y17s supports 4G only and has a Helio G85, while the Y28 5G has a Dimensity 6020. The fact that they share a battery does not mean their other components are interchangeable.
- The Y28s 5G and Y28e 5G have a different chassis, which is 8.4 mm thick, and a different processor. The Y28e also has no fingerprint reader. We do not list them as compatible with this category.
- Out of the box, the Y28 5G has an IP54 rating. Once the device has been opened, this protection can no longer be considered intact.
