This section brings together parts for the Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G, also sold as Realme 16 Pro+. This is the version with model code RMX5131, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen. You’ll find the complete screen, three camera modules, the rear lens, charging port, main speaker and button flex cable. The quality is specified on each product page. Before ordering, check that your phone is the Pro+ and not the 16 Pro: they launched together and look very similar, but their parts are not interchangeable.
The RMX5131 code distinguishes the Realme 16 Pro Plus from the 16 Pro (RMX5121)
The most reliable way to identify the model is to check the code in Settings > About device or on the label on the box. The Pro+ is listed as RMX5131, including the European version with NFC. The Realme 16 Pro is listed as RMX5121. If the screen won’t turn on and you can’t access the menu, check the rear of the phone: the Pro+ has three cameras, one of which is a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens, while the 16 Pro has only two.
The differences go beyond appearance. The 16 Pro has a 6.78-inch flat screen with 1272 × 2772 pixels, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip and a body with different dimensions (162.6 × 77.6 mm, compared with 162.45 × 76.27 mm for the Pro+). That’s why the Pro+ screen is not compatible with the 16 Pro, and the 16 Pro screen is not compatible with the Pro+. Both have a 200 MP main camera and a 50 MP front camera, but there is no confirmation that these modules can be swapped. Always order the part for the RMX5131.
The Realme 16 Pro+ has a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen with 144 Hz and an optical fingerprint sensor
It comes with a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen, which Realme calls 4D Curve+. It offers a resolution of 1280 × 2800 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The fingerprint sensor is optical and located under the screen: it reads your fingerprint through the panel itself. So when replacing the screen on this model, unlocking depends entirely on the panel you install.
At present, the complete screen for Realme 16 Pro+ is available in Original quality. This is usually the more expensive option. Choose it if you want the same type of panel as the one fitted to the phone as standard, with its curved edges, resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. As the glass curves around the sides, check exactly what the assembly includes on the product page before ordering, as this affects the installation process.
Realme 16 Pro Plus cameras: 200 MP HP5 sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide and 50 MP front camera
The main camera features a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor measuring 1/1.56 inches, with optical image stabilisation. It is the most complex module in the rear camera assembly. Each camera is sold separately, so you only need to replace the damaged one:
- 200 MP main rear camera for Realme 16 Pro Plus, currently available in Original quality. It includes the HP5 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation.
- 8 MP ultra-wide camera, in Original quality. This is the f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with a 115.5° field of view.
- 50 MP front camera for Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G, in Original quality. This is the selfie camera, with an f/2.4 aperture.
- Rear camera lens compatible with Realme 16 Pro Plus, in OEM quality. It is the most affordable option in this section.
Before ordering, check whether the damage affects the outer glass or the sensor itself. If the lens is broken but the camera still focuses and stabilises correctly, replacing the lens is enough. The Pro+ rear camera assembly has three cameras, while the 16 Pro’s has only two, so the Pro+ lens will not fit the 16 Pro.
USB-C port, speaker and button flex cable for the Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G
A USB-C 2.0 port that supports 80 W charging
The connector on the bottom edge is a USB-C port with USB 2.0 speeds, and it supports 80 W fast charging (which Realme calls Ultra Charge). The USB charging port for Realme 16 Pro Plus 5G is currently available in OEM quality, a competitively priced alternative. Bear in mind that the European 16 Pro charges at 45 W: this is another difference between the two models.
The bottom speaker pairs with the earpiece for stereo sound
The Pro+ has hybrid stereo sound: the bottom speaker acts as the main channel, while the top earpiece works as the second speaker. The main speaker for Realme 16 Pro Plus, currently available in Original quality, is the bottom component. The call earpiece is a separate part.
The side flex cable is designed for the RMX5131 chassis
The power and volume button flex cable, currently available in Original quality, connects the side buttons to the board. The 16 Pro body has different dimensions, so this flex cable will not fit that model.
The Realme 16 Pro Plus’s IP69K protection depends on the factory seals
The Pro+ has IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, which is unusual for a phone in its price range. This protection depends on the seals and adhesives applied at the factory. If you dismantle the phone to replace the screen, port or a camera, you’ll need to replace the adhesive, and the same level of water resistance cannot be guaranteed afterwards. Bear this in mind if you use the phone outdoors or near water.

Can I replace just the lens if the 200 MP camera still works?
Yes. If the sensor focuses correctly and only the outer glass is broken, you only need the rear lens, which costs considerably less than a camera module.
