Razr 2024 and Razr 50: one Motorola with two names and the XT2453 model code family
Motorola sells the same device as the Razr 2024 in the United States and as the Razr 50 in Europe and other regions. That’s why our products use the European name, even though they fit both versions. All variants share the model code XT2453, followed by a suffix that varies by region:
- XT2453-1: global dual-SIM variant, sold in Spain.
- XT2453-2: variant intended for the Chinese market.

Check related models carefully. The Razr+ 2024, known in Europe as the Razr 50 Ultra, has a 4-inch outer display and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard version has a 3.6-inch display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X. Their parts are therefore not interchangeable. Nor are the parts for the Razr 2023, which has a narrow outer display of just 1.5 inches. The 6.9-inch foldable panel in Original quality
The main display on the Razr 2024 is a 6.9-inch pOLED LTPO panel with Full HD+ resolution (2640 x 1080) and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. As this is a flexible panel that folds every time you open the phone, damage to the surface or crease is repaired by replacing the complete assembly, not just one layer.
The original screen assembly for Motorola Razr 50 is the highest-grade option in the range. As it’s original, it retains the factory panel’s specifications: resolution, LTPO variable refresh rate and touch response. It’s the right choice if you want your phone to work just as it did before the damage, which matters even more with a foldable, as the panel withstands thousands of folds.
One detail makes choosing easier: the fingerprint reader is in the side power button, not under the display, so replacing the panel doesn’t affect fingerprint unlocking. The 3.6-inch outer display is a separate part, so check which of the two is damaged before buying.
Two cells, QR31 and QR11, combine to provide 4200 mAh
The advertised 4200 mAh capacity isn’t in a single battery. The Razr 2024 uses two cells, one in each half of the device: the main cell, code QR31, and a secondary cell, code QR11. The official capacity is the combined total of both.
The compatible 4200 mAh battery for Razr 50 (QR11 / QR31) is Premium quality, a compatible option that is usually more affordable than an original replacement. Before buying, check the product details to see whether it includes both cells or just one, and compare the code with the one printed on the battery you’re removing. If battery life has dropped significantly or one half has swollen, identifying which cell has failed will help you avoid buying more than you need.
The two cells are secured with very strong adhesive, and accessing them requires dismantling much of the phone. For a repair shop, this means replacing the battery in this model takes considerably longer than in a non-foldable phone, which is worth bearing in mind when preparing a quote.
What affects repairs to this Motorola foldable
The Razr 2024 has an IPX8 water-resistance rating from the factory. Opening the phone breaks the adhesive seals, so after replacing the screen or battery, you can’t assume it will retain this protection, even if new adhesive is applied.

No. The Ultra model has a larger outer display, a different processor and batteries with different codes. Although the phones look similar on the outside, its components won’t fit the Razr 2024.
Do I need to replace both batteries at the same time?
Not necessarily, as each cell is a separate component. However, accessing both requires extensive disassembly, so many users and repair shops prefer to replace them together to avoid having to open the phone again later.
Does replacing the screen affect the fingerprint reader?
No. The fingerprint sensor is in the side power button, not under the panel, and continues to work after the screen is replaced.
