In this section, you’ll find spare parts for the Motorola Moto G87, the 2026 mid-range phone featuring a 200 MP main camera, a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen and IP68/IP69 certification. We stock parts for both DIY repairs and repair shops looking for a reliable replacement: an original complete screen, charging connector and rear camera lens in OEM quality. Before placing your order, check the model number, as the G87 is part of a Motorola family whose handsets look almost identical from the outside.
XT2621-6: the code that distinguishes your Moto G87 from the G67 and G77
The Motorola Moto G87 sold in Europe carries the reference XT2621-6. You can check this in Settings > About phone, under model and hardware or regulatory information. It is also shown on the box. Check the full suffix and don’t rely on “XT2621” alone.
This is because Motorola uses the same XT2621 base for two other models launched in early 2026: the Moto G67 (XT2621-2) and the Moto G77 (XT2621-3 and XT2621-4). All three feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels and have almost identical dimensions, with a thickness of around 7.3 mm. What sets the G87 apart is its 200 MP camera with optical stabilisation and its Dimensity 6400 processor.
In Brazil, the same phone is sold as the Moto G Max, with identical specifications and dimensions. Don’t confuse it with the Moto G Max in India, which is a different device, or with the Moto G86, which has a 6.67-inch screen and a different chassis.
What each available spare part for the Motorola Moto G87 offers
If you’re looking for the original 6.78-inch AMOLED panel
The original complete screen for Motorola Moto G87 is the only screen quality available in this section and matches the factory-fitted panel: 6.78-inch AMOLED with 1.5K resolution (1272 x 2772), a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a stated peak brightness of 5000 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i. As an original part, it retains these specifications as stated by Motorola.
One detail affects your choice: the G87’s fingerprint reader is optical and located under the screen, quite low down. The sensor reads your fingerprint through the AMOLED panel, so the original panel is the one that matches the factory design. After replacing it, we recommend deleting your fingerprints and registering them again.
The G67 and G77 have screens with very similar specifications, but there is no confirmation that they are interchangeable with the G87’s screen. The safest option is to choose the part listed for the XT2621-6.
For the USB-C connector that supports 30 W charging
The OEM-quality USB charging port compatible with Motorola Moto G87 replaces the USB Type-C connector, which the phone uses for 30 W TurboPower charging and USB 2.0 data transfer. Before ordering, test another cable and charger so you don’t mistake a faulty accessory for a connector fault.
Replacing it requires opening the phone, which affects its seal (we explain this in the next section). If you have a Brazilian Moto G Max, contact us first: it shares the G87’s design, but we haven’t been able to confirm that all its internal components are identical.
For the rear 200 MP camera module
The G87 has a square camera module with a stabilised 200 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and an LED flash. The OEM-quality rear camera lens is the outer glass that protects these sensors. It’s the right replacement part when the damage is limited to the glass: replacing it won’t fix a faulty sensor or stabiliser.
Fingerprint reader, IP69 sealing and component pairing on the Motorola Moto G87
The G87 has IP66, IP68 and IP69 certification, as well as MIL-STD-810H. This protection depends on the original seals and adhesives, so it cannot be guaranteed once the phone has been opened, regardless of which part you replace. If the phone is used in damp environments, the user should be made aware of this before the repair.
We haven’t found any Motorola documentation stating that the G87’s screen, camera or charging port is serial-number paired to the motherboard, as is the case with some other brands. There are also no public teardown guides for this model yet, so we can’t confirm any further internal details. Face recognition is 2D and uses the front camera, with no dedicated sensors, so the only biometric feature linked to the screen is the optical fingerprint reader.
Frequently asked questions about the Moto G87 and its sibling, the Moto G Max
Will a Moto G77 or G67 screen fit the Moto G87?
All three models share the XT2621 base and a 6.78-inch panel with the same resolution, but replacement screens for the G67 and G77 are only listed for those two models. Unless the manufacturer confirms compatibility, we recommend fitting a screen made specifically for the Moto G87.
Are Moto G87 parts compatible with the Moto G Max in Brazil?
The Brazilian Moto G Max is the same phone under a different name, with identical specifications and dimensions, although it lists 33 W charging. The models are very likely to share parts, but we haven’t verified this against spare parts documentation. Check the model number before buying.
Will the fingerprint reader still work with the new screen?
The optical sensor is designed to read fingerprints through the AMOLED panel, and the original screen is the same type of panel fitted to the phone at the factory. After replacing it, register your fingerprints again so recognition can adapt to the new glass.
Will the phone remain water-resistant after replacing the charging port?
This cannot be guaranteed. The phone must be opened to replace the connector, breaking the factory seal, so IP68/IP69 certification is no longer assured, even if new adhesive is applied.
