The Microsoft Surface Go 4 is a 10.5-inch tablet that Microsoft introduced in 2023 exclusively for business and education. It features an Intel N200 processor and a design that allows technicians to replace the screen, battery, board or cameras without sending the device to the factory. In this category, you’ll find the screen assembly and battery for this model. Before ordering, check the model code: it looks almost identical to the Surface Go 3, but its parts are not interchangeable.

The Surface Go 4 displays the code 2067 under the rear kickstand

Microsoft identifies the Surface Go 4 by the model number 2067, printed alongside the serial number on the lower central section covered by the kickstand. If you see 1901 or 1926 when you lift it, you have a Surface Go 2 or Go 3. The three generations look very similar, but each has its own parts list.

There are other details that can help you avoid confusion. The Go 4 is only available as a Wi-Fi model, with no LTE, and only in Platinum. It was also never sold in consumer shops, so it usually comes from corporate fleets or educational institutions. The motherboard supports three configurations (8 GB RAM with 64, 128 or 256 GB), but Microsoft lists just one screen and one battery for all of them, so storage capacity does not affect your order.

10.5 inches, 1920 x 1280 and Gorilla Glass 3 on the Surface Go 4

Out of the box, the Surface Go 4 features a 10.5-inch PixelSense display in a 3:2 format, with a resolution of 1920 x 1280 (220 ppi), a 1500:1 contrast ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has multi-touch support and is compatible with the Surface Pen, so the digitiser is integrated into the same module and is not sold separately.

The complete screen for Microsoft Surface Go 4 replaces the entire assembly: glass, touch panel and display in one piece. Microsoft identifies it by part number EP2-69320 and lists it as exclusive to this model. We currently offer it in Original quality, the top-tier option for anyone who wants to retain the resolution, contrast and pen support specified in the factory specifications.

Bear in mind how it is fitted before ordering. The Go 4 screen is attached to the chassis with pressure-sensitive adhesive. Microsoft recommends not using a heat gun to remove it and advises using a dedicated bonding frame with weights to reattach it. If you work in a repair shop, we recommend having new adhesive and a system for applying even pressure ready before opening the device. The front camera and Windows Hello infrared camera are listed as separate parts in the official parts list, so they are not included with the screen.

27.76 Wh from the factory versus 3500 mAh for the Surface Go 4 replacement battery

The original Surface Go 4 battery has a capacity of 27.76 Wh (7.58 V and 3663 mAh). Microsoft supplies it fitted to the lower case, under part number EP2-69319. As a result, the official part is bulky and expensive: you are replacing not only the cell but also the rear cover.

The 3500 mAh battery compatible with Microsoft Surface Go 4 is available in Premium quality, a compatible alternative at a more affordable price than the official assembly. Its rated capacity is slightly lower than the factory battery (3500 versus 3663 mAh). Bear this in mind if you compare battery life with the figures Microsoft advertises for a new device.

The part number G16TA047H shown in the product name is also used for batteries for the Surface Go 2 and Go 3. Before buying, check the 2067 code under the kickstand and compare the label, shape and connector of the battery currently fitted with the product photos. If you’re unsure, send us a photo of the label and we’ll confirm whether it’s compatible.

The Surface Go 4 serial number is on its original lower case

Microsoft states that the serial number is on the factory-fitted lower case and is not carried over to the replacement case. For this reason, the official assembly includes a label for writing it down by hand. This matters when choosing a battery: if you keep the original cover, you retain the identification Microsoft requires you to keep for future support requests, which is important for devices that are part of a fleet.

Microsoft provides official service guides and videos for the Go 4. They identify the screen, battery, motherboard, cameras, speakers, hinges, kickstand, microSD reader and keyboard connector as replaceable parts. For a repair shop, this means a broken screen or worn-out battery on this model does not require replacing the entire chassis, as was the case with earlier generations.

Frequently asked questions about ordering parts for the Surface Go 4 (2067)

Will a Surface Go 3 screen work in the Go 4?

Both models share the same screen size and resolution, but Microsoft treats the Go 4 screen as a model-specific component, part number EP2-69320, valid only for this model. To avoid mistakes, check the 2067 code rather than relying on the external appearance.

Does replacing the screen affect Windows Hello?

The infrared camera used by Windows Hello is a separate component in the official parts list and is not integrated into the screen module. This means no new cameras are included when you order the screen. Take care when handling the cameras already installed.

Is there an LTE version of the Surface Go 4 with different parts?

No. The Go 4 was made with Wi-Fi only, unlike the Go 3, which was also available in an LTE version. All units use the same screen and battery, regardless of storage capacity.

Why does the battery have fewer mAh than the original?

The factory-fitted Go 4 cell has a capacity of 3663 mAh, while the one listed here has 3500 mAh. The difference is small, although it can affect maximum battery life. The advantage is that you only replace the battery, not the complete assembly with the case.
