Find spare parts for the Google Pixel 8 Pro, the 6.7-inch model with a Tensor G3 processor that Google introduced in October 2023. The range includes the complete screen, battery, charging connector and various internal flex cables. Before ordering any part, check the model code and verify which functions depend on each component. On this phone, the fingerprint reader, USB-C port and wireless charging coil have specific requirements that affect your choice of replacement part.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro is identified by the codes G1MNW, GC3VE and GE9DP

Google sold the Pixel 8 Pro under three hardware codes. The GC3VE is the version sold in Europe, without 5G mmWave. The G1MNW is for North America and Australia, while the GE9DP is for the Japanese market. The variants differ in radio connectivity: Google's replacement screen and battery are listed as compatible with both the G1MNW and GC3VE.

To check the code on your device, go to Settings > About phone and open the model and hardware section. The code is also shown on the original packaging. The Pixel 8 is easy to recognise at a glance because it has a smaller screen, but take care with parts shared between the two models: from this list, only the charging port is specified for both. The other spare parts are listed exclusively for the 8 Pro.

On the Google Pixel 8 Pro, the optical fingerprint sensor is integrated into the screen assembly

The original panel is a 6.7-inch OLED (Super Actua) with a resolution of 1344 x 2992 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. Beneath the glass is the optical fingerprint reader, which is included in Google's replacement screen assembly. Therefore, when replacing the screen on this model, the fingerprint reader requires particular attention.

The complete OLED screen compatible with Google Pixel 8 Pro available in our catalogue is OLED quality, using the same technology as the original panel. Before buying, check the product listing to see whether the module includes the fingerprint reader fitted, or whether you will need to transfer it from the old screen. Transferring it adds time and risk to the repair, so factor this in when quoting.

After installing any screen on the Pixel 8 Pro, you may need to recalibrate the fingerprint reader using Google's Pixel Repair web tool. Connect the phone to a computer running Chrome via USB. Repair forums include cases where the tool does not offer the calibration option. If you work in a repair shop, we recommend checking the reader before handing the device back to the customer.

Google Pixel 8 Pro: 5050 mAh typical capacity, GUKD8 part number and no battery health menu

Google specifies a typical capacity of 5050 mAh and a minimum capacity of 4950 mAh for the Pixel 8 Pro. That is why you may see both figures in different listings, although they refer to the same battery, with the part number GUKD8. The 5050 mAh GUKD8 battery compatible with Google Pixel 8 Pro is now available in Premium quality, the standard compatible replacement option and less expensive than Google's service part.

The cell is glued to the frame and has a pull tab for removal. In teardown guides, the tab was not enough, and the adhesive had to be softened with isopropyl alcohol. We therefore recommend having new adhesive ready to secure the replacement battery.

As for software, the Pixel 8 Pro was not included in the battery health menu Google introduced with Android 16. The system will not display this information with either the original or a replacement battery. To check the battery's condition before or after replacement, you will need to use a third-party app.

The Pixel 8 Pro has a USB-C port soldered to the board and a wireless charging coil attached to the rear glass

The same charging connector fits the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

The USB-C charging port for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is one of the few parts shared by both models and is now available in our catalogue in Original quality. In this generation, the connector is not fitted to a separate sub-board: it is soldered to the mainboard. Replacing it requires micro-soldering equipment and board repair experience, so this part is primarily intended for repair shops. Before ordering, it is worth checking whether dirt in the connector or another board component is causing the charging issue.

The 8 Pro's wireless charging relies on a coil attached to the glass

On the Pixel 8 Pro, the wireless charging and NFC coil is attached to the inside of the rear glass. Google's service part includes it in the complete rear housing. The original wireless charging chip for Pixel 8 Pro lets you replace that component on its own. It is useful when the rear glass is replaced separately and the coil is damaged during removal, which is common because the bond is so strong.

The 8 Pro's camera bar houses the flash alongside the temperature sensor

The flash sensor flex cable for Google Pixel 8 Pro is listed in Original quality and corresponds to the flash area of the camera bar. This area differs on the 8 Pro because it has an exclusive infrared temperature sensor just below the flash. As this part is listed only for this model, compare its shape and connector with the part you are removing before fitting it.

Repair shops' most frequently asked questions about repairing a Google Pixel 8 Pro

Will the fingerprint reader still work after replacing the Pixel 8 Pro screen?

It will usually need to be recalibrated using Google's Pixel Repair tool. Repair forums include cases where calibration does not appear or fails. We therefore recommend checking whether the module includes the reader and testing it before closing the device.

Why do some listings state 5050 mAh and others 4950 mAh?

Google publishes both figures: 5050 mAh is the typical capacity and 4950 mAh is the guaranteed minimum. Both refer to the GUKD8 battery for the Pixel 8 Pro, not different models.

Will the same screen fit a GC3VE and a G1MNW?

Yes. Google's service screen for the Pixel 8 Pro is listed as compatible with both codes, as the difference between them is in 5G connectivity, not the panel. A Pixel 8 screen will not fit, as it is smaller.

Can you replace only the rear glass without losing wireless charging?

Yes, but the wireless charging coil is attached to the glass and can easily be damaged when separating the two. If that happens, you will need to replace the coil as well as the glass to restore wireless charging.
