Oppo Reno14 F 5G screen
It happens more easily than you might think. Your Reno14 F slips out of your pocket, lands on its edge and leaves a spiderweb of cracks across the glass. Sometimes there’s no visible impact at all: one day the screen goes black, a coloured line appears or the touchscreen starts behaving strangely. For all these situations, this black Oppo Reno14 F 5G complete screen is just what you need, with original quality. The display and touchscreen come pre-assembled, so you don’t need to separate the glass from the display.
This component does a lot more than display photos. The Reno14 F’s fingerprint reader is under the screen: it’s an optical sensor that reads your fingerprint through the panel. That’s why a broken screen can also stop you unlocking your phone with your fingerprint.
What this Oppo Reno14 F screen includes, explained simply
It’s the same screen the phone comes with from the factory: a 6.57-inch flexible AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (2372 × 108• and around 397 pixels per inch. In practice, text looks sharp and blacks are truly black, because each pixel can switch off completely with this technology.
- The same brightness as the original: 600 nits in normal use and up to 1400 nits in High Brightness Mode, so you can read WhatsApp messages in the bright August sun.
- 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
- Touch response of up to 240 Hz, which you’ll notice when gaming and typing quickly.
- 10-bit colour and 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut in Vivid mode, so your photos look just as you took them.
- AGC Dragontrail DT-Star D+ front glass, the same as the standard model.
There’s one detail we really like. OPPO designed this panel to keep responding to wet fingers, which makes sense on a phone with an IP69 rating, designed to withstand high-pressure water. Fitting an original-quality part preserves this feature.
When should you replace the Oppo Reno14 F 5G screen?
Cracked glass is the obvious sign, but it’s not the only one. At the iLevante workshop, our team often sees these issues:
- Black or purple spots that gradually spread (usually caused by internal AMOLED damage after an impact).
- Fixed green or coloured vertical lines. These have appeared over time or after exposure to heat on several OPPO Reno and Find X models.
- The phone rings, vibrates and receives notifications, but the screen shows nothing.
- Ghost touches: apps open by themselves or parts of the screen don’t respond to your finger.
- The fingerprint reader stops working right over the damaged area.
If any of this sounds familiar, replacing the screen is much more affordable than buying another phone. The Reno14 F has a 6000 mAh battery and a body with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, so it still has plenty of life left.
Replacing the Oppo Reno14 F screen: what we’ve learnt from fitting it
We won’t pretend it’s effortless: you can do it with patience, but there are a few tricks to know. We also include a free tool kit with your order, so you won’t have to hunt around for screwdrivers or opening picks. You can get started as soon as your parcel arrives.
- Test it before closing the phone. Connect the new screen’s flex cable to the board and switch the phone on without applying adhesive. Check the image, brightness, touchscreen in every corner and proximity sensor (cover the top of the screen during a call). Keep the protective films on while you test it.
- Take care with the flex cable. Because the panel is flexible, it can be tempting to bend it freely, but that’s a mistake. Never bend it more than 90 degrees or pinch it.
- Register your fingerprint again. This is what customers ask us about most. The sensor is still the one in your phone, but it now reads your fingerprint through a new panel. Deleting your saved fingerprints and registering them again usually gets everything working smoothly.
- Take care around water afterwards. IP68/IP69 protection depends on the seal. If you want to keep getting your phone wet without worry, apply new adhesive when closing it. Without it, it’s best to treat it like a regular phone.
Here’s an interesting fact: this model has an internal structure OPPO calls Sponge Armour, designed to distribute the force of impacts. It helps a lot, but a corner-first fall onto tiles can still crack the glass. That’s why we also include a free screen protector. Fit it as soon as you’re finished and save yourself another headache.
Quick questions about the Oppo Reno14 F 5G screen
Will it fit my model? It’s designed for the Oppo Reno14 F 5G, model number CPH2743. You can find this in Settings, under “About phone”. If you have another Reno14 model (the standard or Pro version), it uses a different screen and this one won’t fit.
Will I notice a difference compared with my old screen? As an original-quality part, it offers the same 1400 nits, colours and smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The only new thing is that you won’t see any cracks.
What if something seems wrong after I replace it? Get in touch before forcing anything. The iLevante team has tested this part and can guide you step by step. Most of the time, it’s a connector that isn’t properly seated or a fingerprint that needs to be registered again.
